The Wrzesnia Youth Wind Band /in Polish: 'Mlodziezowa Orkiestra Deta Wrzesinskiego Osrodka Kultury'/ came into being in October 1996. Its founder and the first conductor was Ludwig Gromadzinski. In 1998 the Orchestra achieved its first success - II place in the competition in Grodzisk Wielkopolski. Im April 1999 the Orchestra began its cooperation with the dance group 'Takt' conducted by Mariola Zalepa.

After the training camp in Kiekrz the new conductor became Jan Oczepa. In 2001 the Orchestra took part in the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the strike of Wrzesnia Children and then in a competition in Grodzisk Wielkopolski where they won a special prize. Annual camps became a tradition. Teenagers not only relax then but also improve their musical skills. On 2 December there was the 5th anniversary of founding the Orchestra.

The most important event in 2002 was the first foreign concert - during the biggest Festival for Polish in Lithuania 'Kwiaty Polskie'. After a camp in Golabki, Orchestra started recording its first disc.

At the beginning of 2003 Jan Oczepa had to resign from being the conductor and Jacek Rybczynski replaced him. Owing to him, the Orchestra achieved its most important successes and development. Then the first record was made and the Orchestra began its cooperation with the dance group which is directed by Katarzyna Budzynska.

In 2004 and 2005 the Youth Wind Band achieved its the most important successes in their career, for example:
- 2nd place in the 3rd category in a prestigious, international competition of brass bands Flicorno d'Oro which took place in Riva del Garda in Italy
- title of International Champion of Poland in Szamocin
- 3rd place in the most prestigious competition in the country which was held in Inowroclaw
- 1st place in Grodzisk Wielkopolski.
Our second CD was released in January 2005.

Thanks to our work and an unforgettable atmosphere The Wrzesnia Youth Wind Band consist of 60 people is making so big progress. The Orchestra gives concerts in the whole country. It presents very rich repertoire on bandstand and marching and attractive marching show which has been repeatedly awarded.
